[TTALPA] Pilots help spirits soar at Princess Elizabeth Home
November 2, 2016

The Trinidad and Tobago Airlines Pilots Association (TTALPA), presented a cheque for $20,000 to the Princess Elizabeth Home to aid with repairs of the facility on Wednesday October 26, 2016.

The charitable donation was raised by the association as a follow-up to their May visit, where they noticed that the premises needed repairs.

In their initial visit, the pilots were invited by the Tourism Development Company to speak to students about their jobs and to spend time getting to know the students. After the visit they spent the last 5 months fundraising to better assist the center.

The Princess Elizabeth Special School caters to 60 students aging from five to 17 years old, who have various special needs and disabilities.

In addition to educational services, the facility also offers counseling and rehabilitation services catered to the children's needs.

Proceeds of the fund raising was presented to the principle of the school Ms. Elisabeth Rollins by Trustee Council Captain Heathcliff Miller, First Officer Shannon Hutchinson and Shelly Sadaphal, Executive Administrator, at the premises.

Anyone wishing to get involved in making donation of goods, services or cash to further assist the school can contact TTALPA at 628-2418.
