American Flyers - Aircraft Dispatcher Course

The Airline Academy at American Flyers is now accepting enrollments for the Aircraft Dispatcher Certification Course starting on Wednesday June 15, 2011.

This is the ideal course for:

1) Airline employees who want to enhance their earning potential
2) Low time pilots who want to begin working for an airline
3) Any non-pilot who would like a career in aviation

What exactly does a dispatcher do?

aircraft at gateA commercial flight cannot leave the gate without an Aircraft Dispatcher. The dispatcher determines the route of flight, amount of fuel required, type of equipment to be used, alternate airports, aircraft performance and much more. The Dispatcher is also responsible for coordinating the flight with Maintenance, Crew Scheduling as well as Catering and Ground Service.

The Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate is basically the same certificate as the Captains ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) Certificate without the "pilot" capability.

While the Captain has the ultimate authority over a flight, during normal operations it is the Dispatcher that is equally responsible for compliance and it is the Dispatcher who coordinates everything behind the scene to free the pilots up to fly the aircraft.

Who Should Enroll and Why?

The Aircraft Dispatcher Certification offers many benefits for everyone. From airline employees to pilots to those people who simply want a career change, this is the perfect course for you.

Your Dispatcher Certification never expires and does not require an FAA Medical Certificate. For pilots it is the perfect backup in case you loose your medical.

If you are a low time pilot who wants to work for an airline, what better way to start than working in dispatch. You will literally learn the operation from the inside out which will prepare you for your eventual career as a flight crew member.

Many people have always liked airplanes and the aviation industry but "life got in the way" and they ended up moving into other careers. If you are looking for a career change, now is the best time. This course will provide you with the FAA Certificate that you need to make your dreams a reality.
