Tortug’air Press Release

Tortug’air Press Release
September 18, 2014

American Airlines has reduced its ticket prices to a level which leaves no hope for Tortug’Air to continue its operations on the Cap Haitian / Fort-Lauderdale route.

As a result of American Airlines price dumping in recent weeks, cancellations of bookings and/or absence of reservations is at an all-time high at Tortug’Air. During the last few weeks we have been operating our aircraft almost empty and are no longer capable of sustaining these great losses.

The administration of Tortug’Air regrets to announce the suspension of its flights between Cape-Haitian and Fort Lauderdale since September 9th 2014.

This decision is a major setback to Tortug Air as well as the Haitian community. This decision is motivated exclusively by American Airline’s non-competitive pricing on this route. We are in the process of rebooking all passengers that have already purchased tickets on alternate airlines. For more information please contact our office in Broward at:

954-906-9844 or you may write to us by email at info@tortugair.com

Tortug’Air’s would like to thank its loyal customers for their support and deeply apologizes for the inconvenience this has caused.
