A new start-up with the name Jet Caribbean wants to take over the role of Insel Air in Curaçao. According to newspaper Amigoe, Jet Caribbean wants to maintain flights in the region with two Fokker 70s.

Insel Air, which has been burdened for many years under major debts and is technically bankrupt, currently no longer has a permit to fly or airworthy airplanes. United Caribbean Airlines, trading under the name Jet Caribbean, would now partly fill in the gap that Insel Air leaves behind.

With two Fokker 70s, flights from Curaçao to neighboring countries, such as the Dominican Republic and Haiti, would have to be carried out from April onwards.

Insel Air seems almost certain to stop existing. InterCaribbean, which would take over the troubled airline, failed and the air fleet of Insel Air was grounded due to technical problems.

They would like to fly from Curaçao to the Dominican Republic and Haiti from April onwards.
