An American Eagle Avion de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration N399AT performing flight MQ-4834 from San Juan (Puerto Rico) to Dominica Melville Hall (Dominica), was on approach to Dominica in a waiting holding pattern due to weather, when the crew received an "A/P AILERON MISTRIM" message. The crew disconnected the autopilot and noticed that although they had full aileron control to the right there was limited control to the left only. The crew continued for a safe landing at Meville Hall airport.

The NTSB reported that after landing a control cable, connecting the aileron to the autopilot actuator, was found broken.
