Air France (AF) and Air Antilles Express (3S) will implement what is described as a “free flow” agreement on flights between Fort de France (FDF), Martinique and Saint Lucia (SLU) in the French West Indies.

The commercial partnership, which will take effect Oct. 28, enables AF to sell its own tickets on the three 3S ATR 52-500 flights each week between FDF and SLU. AF will offer three flights a week to SLU as a continuation of its transatlantic services.

AF-KLM SVP Caribbean and Indian Ocean Alain Malka said: “For Air France, this agreement constitutes the beginning of a wider cooperation which could be extended to other destinations.”

AF operates 13 Boeing 777-300 flights a week from Paris-Orly to Martinique and Guadeloupe and once a week from Paris Charles de Gaulle. The airline also operates a regional network linking Cayenne, FDF, Pointe à Pitre (PTP), Port au Prince, Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Miami using an Airbus A320. 3S operates scheduled flights between its PTP and FDF hubs to SLU, Saint Martin, Saint Barthelemy and SDQ.
